Buffy, end of Season 2 ramblings
Last night I finished Season 2 with both parts of 'Becoming'. And.. and... and...
. I don't know whether to be really excited because it just rocked or really heartbroken over that ending!
First things first, what the F happened to Angel?!?! ((whimper)) I know he can't be gone forever because of the Angel spinoff and I thought I read that he's in Buffy for three seasons. But.. but... that part at the end where he gets his soul back, they share a moment and she stabs him just tore my heart out! And then he got swallowed up by that vortex/dimension. I was traumatized! I swear I went to bed last night and wondered how I could sleep while Angel was in the vortex! What's gonna happen to him? No, I don't want you to tell me but.. but... I'm quite worried. I need him back.
I loved Angel as a good character in the beginning, then came to love him as a baddie. All of this changing is quite jarring, but it's piqued my interest big time. It's exciting. Maybe they should split him apart and have one good Angel and one bad Angel. That would be fun!
Willow in the hospital, and Xander saying 'I love you'!! Yow. At that point I wondered why he hadn't called Oz. I think the three of them are so cute. And I loved that Willow eventually got the curse done, right there in bed. Good girl! She's really grown on me as a character.
Two parts had me and my husband rolling on the floor in laughter and I have to mention them. Library 'meeting' where Xander is making his point that Angel needs to die for all of the wrongs he's committed. Cordelia pops up with her agreement and Xander jumps a little too quickly. He just cracks me up.
Cordelia: Xander has a point
Xander: You know, just for once I wish you would support me... and I realize right now that you were and I'm embarrassed so I'm gonna get back to the point.
And... Spike talking about saving the world. "The Truth is, I like this world. You've got dog racing, manchester united, and you've got people. Billions of people walking around like Happy Meals with legs."
I swear, we had to rewind those a few times to laugh again. Oh, and I also loved that Giles had an orb of thessela and was using it as a paperweight. LOL! I loved seeing Spike with Buffy's mom, both of them sitting in the living room like that looking around nervously. Oh and.. "Do you see my 'resolve face'?"' Dru kissing Giles and not stopping. LOL!
Spike was awesome in this. I loved how he struck up a deal with Buffy to get rid of Angel. Seeing him get up from his wheelchair and start beating the crap out of Angel was awesome. Dru coming to Angel's rescue was great too, and I loved that Spike grabbed Dru and took off with her. Buffy could die for all he cared. He got what he wanted. I can't wait to see more of him. Also, Dru is an excellent delusional vampire.
Cool, mom now knows that Buffy's a slayer, but things with them are heated. I'm not really worried about Buffy. I mean how long can she stay away from Sunnydale? Where is she going.. I don't know. But I can completely understand her need to get away and try to heal emotionally.
Another thing that's really cool is that Buffy/Angel now work for my multifandom video that I started months ago. That's Heroes, Smallville, Lost, and Buffy. Now, just to find the motivation to vid again.
