If it weren't for the walls, you wouldn't know it is the same house.
As these things tend to do, the project is snowballing. The new floor color is lovely, but doesn't match the walls, so they need painting, and Mom insists we get a new dining set, she'll chip in and it will be our Christmas present.
It's unusual and will break up the mission/craftsman lines a bit, which should add a touch of whimsy
We finally got some semblance of order after a great deal of vacuuming, furniture moving and felt-sticky pad placing. I've been feeling crappy from the stress and upheaval here and at work, so the paint and carpet selection will have to wait until after Thanksgiving. I was initially disappointed that it would only be the 4 of us, but it worked out for the best, as I don't think I have it in me to whip up a feast for 20 like I did last year. Hopefully we can keep it low-key and have a nice dinner and call it done.
