Can I just tell you how over it I am of this whole ten commandments issue? Why the hell should they be taken out of the court houses? Because others don't believe in God? Well, here's a thought: When you are sworn in to testify under oath, you place your hand on a bible and use the phrase "God". If someone who doesn't believe in God takes the oath

Ohh goodness! Erika!! You are JUST the person I have been looking for. For my history class I have been asked privately by my teacher to write a letter to Congress addressing the very issues you have talked about here. I am requesting help from people by asking for statements on how they feel. Would you like to be included? I would love to have a statement from you because yes, you do get so passionate about thigns and thats excellent! Basically its about all the issues in your post plus like on one of the federal building theres Moses holding the slabs that represents the 10 commandments, should we have soeone go chizzel (spelling?) it out just because of that?! I mean, its ancient art, it shouldn't matter. Also, I hate it break it to all these grrr people, but the 10 commandments do not apply to simply one religion and thats one of their biggest arguements, they fight that the government can't support one religion, but Moses (holding the slabs of 10 commandments) was Jewish! They are more of a moral code for life I mean, simply how you should live whether you believe in God or not and therefore I think its more Heritage and representation of where we as Americans came from rather that faith. Congress' chant to open all their meetings has "God save America" in it...should we change that? Well yes, I have taken enough of you time haha you know what Im talking about here as i see in your post, but if you would like to make a statement for my letter I would greatly appreciate it, I could use someone as opinionated as you.
