Can I just tell you how over it I am of this whole ten commandments issue? Why the hell should they be taken out of the court houses? Because others don't believe in God? Well, here's a thought: When you are sworn in to testify under oath, you place your hand on a bible and use the phrase "God". If someone who doesn't believe in God takes the oath, does that mean they will could lie without a thought as to consequence since it won't affect them based on their religious beliefs? And another thing, on the back of every piece of currency it says "In God we trust". Don't believe in God? Put the money down then.
People need to think back to what this country was founded on. Religious morals. YOu may not like it and you may think we need to adapt with time, but all the countries they try to adapt with time end up self destructing? What's wrong with staying true to our foundation? I understand things here and there have to change, but the judicial system was set up to parallel the Ten Commandments. It is the way it is. I am over hearing of those who feel it destroys the seperation of church & state. IT HAS BEEN THAT WAY FOR OVER 200 YEARS! And now you choose to fight it? I have nothing against other religions. Jeez, I don't even know where to find myself right now. I know I believe in Him, and all the He does, I thank Him for my gorgeous family and healthy life. But all this nonsense about the commandemnts in courtrooms is ridiculous. Stop wasting taz payers money and time. Can't those people focus on REAL problems in society? You have so much passion? Put it towards szmething beneficial, volunteer at a soup kitchen or do a favor for a neighbor. It doesn't have to be big or Nobel Peace Prize deserving.
UGH!
