[Kobato's dream seems ordinary enough at first - it is set on a small street near her apartment in Japan, in her own world. the entire scene seems happy, peaceful, brightly lit, and cheerful, a very nice place to live

[River, still in her tutu, gazes intently at the flying cranes. She feels the back of her head, then holds her hand up to see both her palm and the cranes. Her fingers twist a bit, as if she's trying to make some sort of shape with her hand, until she gives up and drops it.]
