[Kobato's dream seems ordinary enough at first - it is set on a small street near her apartment in Japan, in her own world. the entire scene seems happy, peaceful, brightly lit, and cheerful, a very nice place to live.
Infact, it doesn't seem strange at all until one realizes there are little paper cranes fluttering around Kobato like butterflies, calling Kobato's name in a familiar voice.]
Hiro-kun? ...Hiro-kun, hold still! I can't reach!
[Indeed, everytime she reaches for one of the paper cranes, it flutters a little further away, just out of reach.]
Hiro-kun, please! I don't know how you turned into these, but don't fly away! Please!
[But they don't really engage her in conversation. They simply keep calling out to her - "Kobato-chan! Kobato-chan!". Then, suddenly, they dart away from her and Kobato begins to run after them.]
