is existed in even very remote part of asia. however it is just not spoken of and totally deviant to societies. 16 years ago when i was still in vietnam i already heard of homosexuality and have once or twice seen them.

Here, it is not only considered deviant, but is also illegal. Per section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, sodomy is still technically a criminal offense.

Sodomy, if you read the difinition carefuly, is not only homosexual intercourse, but actually any non-vaginal form of sexual intercourse between members of opposite sex. This would certainly make sex in a country than invented the Kama Sutra... rather limmited.

You are correct and heterosexual couples engaged in sodomy can indeed be indicted under the same law.
