Called 3 churches this aft. to break the monotony of updating storage box contents online at our offsite storage website.
One church charges $580cdn for the "full package", whatever that meant. Geeeeeez. I expected about $300, not almost double that. Someone tell me this is out of the ordinary?
I was also told by a church that it's "bad etiquette" to bring in another minister to do the entire ceremony (sharing is okay) unless there are special circumstances. I'd say the minister being the groom's father is special enough, but since that church won't have a full time minister until june-september sometime, we wouldn't be able to ask before booking with them. I think it'd be mean of a minister to not want to let the groom's father do the ceremony in full. Didn't get the price on that one, only that it's $50 to reserve the day/time.
kelayrel, do you remember how much Grace costs?
The third church didn't have any people in the office, I'll have to call tomorrow. Their voicemail message was quite cute though. =)
In other, non-wedding related news, my sister has found a quilting class for us to take to teach us how to make a quilt for our mom. Unfortunately it starts this Wednesday, and I have so much stuff to do to catch up on my HR course (among other things) that I don't know if I should busy-up one more night a week for the next 6 weeks. Hmm. If we can start that course in a month, I'd be happier.
