One bad, one good...
So I just found out my grandmother (88 years old) has fallen and broken her pelvis. She's in the hospital right now, and apparently won't leave until Christmas at least. Her blood pressure has been all over the place, and when my aunt and uncle (doctor) went to visit, my uncle said "Get her on oxygen" because she was looking...well...like she needed oxygen. It's probably killing my dad, because she's out in Newfoundland, and being in the Toronto area makes it difficult to visit. He's also concerned that if he goes now, instead of in a month for her birthday (89, I think...or maybe she's 87 turning 88), she's going to think it's worse than it is, and that she's dying. So Dad's torn. Somewhat scary.
The good thing is that in this same conversation, I found out my neice (lcbrego) is going to have a baby! Wooooo! I'm absolutely thrilled! But dammit, she's out in BC, making it hard for me to be there for her through it all and I would absolutely love to be =P. Lee! Why haven't you called me, girl? Heeeey...LJ is a good place to record this pregnancy thing and keep your aunt in the loop...=)
I'm going to be a Great Aunt!...that's so messed. I'm 24, and I'm going to be a Great Aunt. Boy do I feel old.
