I just wanted to post, for my own record of history, that the Canadian dollar hit parity with the US dollar today, the first time since 1976 (that being shortly before I was born). And only 5 years ago, we were in the Dominican and this rather large American man from the south somewhere asked me where I was from...when he found out it was Canada, he proceeded to comment on our tiny military and our weak dollar. Well, one for two ain't bad.
