Not too much has happened in the last month, and yet I feel completely crazy busy. I've been doing a few things for Christine's upcoming wedding (March 17th), both sneaky and non-sneaky type stuff. Her bachelorette weekend happened last weekend, which began with dinner at Rocco's Plum Tomato, followed by some dancing at the Dance Cave. This was a lot of fun, except for the fact that there seemed to be an abundance of couples making out on the already-crowded dance floor, and people who liked to dance with their elbows in our faces. I think this makes me old.
On Saturday,
peemonkey and I took Christine to Horseshoe Valley Resort for some tubing, followed by a trip to the spa for a massage (Christine was treated to a facial), a fancy dinner, and then a pathetically early bedtime, for a bachelorette weekend. I think this also makes me old. Anyway, there were lots of laughs, and lots of fun!
This weekend was busy with the nephew coming for a visit, while my sister and her hubby were off at a sales conference spousal trip thingy in the Bahamas for a few days. We did a lot of gaming again, and I did some pre-Christine-wedding stuff that Christine doesn't need to know about (she reads my lj, you see).
A few hours ago I dropped Johnathan off at the airport, and cried all the way home :P. He'll be in California for the week for work, this is the longest we've been apart since we moved in together, so it'll be difficult. Add to this the fact that I'm still quite afraid to stay home by myself after our break-in, and you've got one pathetic girl :P. I just can't help it, I get myself all worked up and I end up having to go to stay with my parents (who conveniently live 5 minutes away). It also doesn't help that there was a violent break-in at Kennedy and Sandalwood yesterday, which is essentially right around the corner - about 3 blocks north of here. Anyway, I'm completely embarrassed about it, which gets me all frustrated with myself and crying again, so let's just stop talking about this now.
Everything at work is good. We just moved offices, into the building I used to work in when I was with Cadillac Fairview. I've even seen a few of my old coworkers. My desk is now located right outside the dept. head, which is handy because I'm basically her admin now (on top of my other duties), but irritating, because she can see my every move should she choose to. And, it appears as though the floor plan was chosen in such a way that everyone who used to sit together no longer does. The only people I've made decent friends with have been moved to the other side of the department :P.
Alright, off to my Mom and Dad's house :P.
