Alright, a quick update, since I'm heading to bed soon.

In my last post, I mentioned that on my way to an interview I got a call about a pension consulting company position, but it looked like they wanted someone with 2+ years pension experience, and someone who is bilingual. I talked to Randstad the next day, and they said that the position had since changed, and they don't need that. So, I ended up with an interview last Thursday (a week ago). And then Monday. And at that interview, they offered me the job. Eeeeee!

I'm going through the final background and reference checking phase, which seems quite a lot more involved than anywhere else I've been, but I received the offer letter via courier today (it was in the mailbox when I got home), so I'm guessing it's pretty much a done deal :). I can't stop grinning! They even offered me near the top of the pay range I gave them! The benefits are standard, the Defined Benefits pension is nice, the employee stock purchase plan is nice, the location is great, the hours are great, everything is great :). Start date is December 4, but I want to take a few days off between. Randstad said I don't have to give a full two weeks' notice, so I'll probably just give one :).

I'm so happy :). We can finally get a move on our debt killing and home improving again. I'll even be making more than I was at my last job, so that'll help even more. So happy :).
