In honour of my Maid of Honour Christine's engagement announcement (as of yesterday!), I have decided to reacquaint myself with my hand weights and exercise videos. For serious this time. I keep saying that. Somehow I managed to do it before I got married, and I lost 25 lbs., so I can do it again. I've regained about 5 lbs, but I feel as though I've gained it all back. My clothes don't feel like they fit right, and I feel like I'm popping out of everything. I don't want to look at pictures of her wedding in the same way that I look at pictures of myself at kelayrel's wedding, or my niece Lee's wedding - with embarrassment and discomfort. Even though I'm not that heavy anymore, and don't plan to be ever again, I still feel like a lard ass :P.

Christine's wedding is just an excuse to get fit again, really. I need to lose the other 25 lbs (according to my doctor), Christine's wedding is just motivation to do it sooner, rather than later :). Well, there are tons of reasons (including being healthier in preparation for baby formation...which is not happening just yet, but will soon...ish). Feeling svelt in a bridesmaid dress is one of them :).


To start off, I shall mention that I played DDR for 45 minutes today, and according to the game, burned 287 calories. Felt really good. Besides getting off my butt and doing something, I felt like I really improved on some of those songs! Woo! Good start! And, I didn't go back for seconds for dinner, and ate reasonable portions for all my meals. Tomorrow will hopefully include some weights as well as some cardio. For some reason the TV in the den isn't receiving cable anymore, which makes me less interested in using my elliptical :P. Hopefully we'll get that fixed sooner, rather than later.
