So, I recently picked up the game of Fallout 3 and I've found myself hoplessly addicted to it... I like going out on missions and taking care of the bad guys. I also like figuring out some of the puzzles and the other various odds and ends that come with a game like Fallout.
But the thing I find myself enjoying most of all is collecting stuff... like... I just have to collect it... I HAVE to COLLECT it!!!
But not so that I'll use it... oh no... I can't possibly use it... that means I'll have less of it. No, I have to store it! I have to take it back to my megaton home and insert it into my filing cabnet so I can open it up at my liesure and simply marvel at the vast numbers of things that I have.
The one thing I'm mostly referring to here is my collection of Nuka Cola... After I got the vending machine that cools em off and doubles their healing capacity I ended up stumbling into the Nuca Cola collecters house and I found a kings ransom of soda just LAYING around... she even had a soda machine but no, should couldn't put em away they had to be laying out in the open...
Well... while she was sitting down and her back was turned I took them... I took every last bottle from her house save the one that was in her hand. I even picked the lock on her fridge to take the ones that were in her fridge. I couldn't help myself... I just had to have them and put them in my vending machine. I left that house with 50 bottles of pop... I have about 170 sitting in my vending machine now; I don't drink them... but I have to have them. Even in situations where I'm running from feral gouls who look and sound and act like zombies (my least favourite enemies, btw). if I see a bottle of the cola laying around I'll stop to grab it and if need be, fight everything off just to collect it. For some reason I just seem to be thinking: This is mine and there's no way you're taking it from me...Cursed hoading instincts...
Now I actually want to have a can of pop....
