Seungri steps off the bus in Gwangju just as his phone vibrates in his back pocket.
His hands are full with a suitcase handle, a casserole dish of kimchi fried rice from Youngbae's mother accompanied by a sealed letter to his own, complete with an envelope warning him that if he so much as dares to peek at it he'll be cut off from her bungeoppang for three months, and the rest of the kimbap Jiyong's mother had insisted he take to snack on for the bus ride. Needless to say Seungri is a little preoccupied at the moment. So, he lets it ring. If it's important they'll leave a voicemail.
Besides, this was a vacation. A well-earned vacation at that. He deserved a little peace and quiet, some time to sit back and breathe, a little Seungri time. A little Seunghyun time. As much as he could get before he was back at home (funny how somehow calling Gwangju home feels a little odd these days) being rattled off a list of chores then turning right around to rattle them off at Hanna instead. The joys of not being the maknae anymore.
Before he sets a single foot into his house, his pocket vibrates three more times.
Once he finally gets a chance to look at it he smirks amusedly at his missed calls list.

Just when he's about to read a text that starts off with "YAH! Why aren't you pick-" the phone rings again.
"Hyung."
"Yah! Why haven't you been picking up?!"
"It's called a vacation for a reason."
"Yeah, well, it's not like I wanted to call you. Youngbae was freaking out over whether you made it there safely or not."
"Really?"
"Yes, really."
"Is that so?"
"What are you trying to imply, maknae?"
"Why didn't Youngbae-hyung call himself?"
"......"
Seungri doesn't bother trying to hide the half-smirk, half-grin slowly creeping up on his features as he strolls into the kitchen, easily ignoring the strange look he gets from Hanna. After a friendly sibling scuffle which resulted in a too-hard kick to Seungri's shin and one hell of a noogie to Hanna's head, she rolls her eyes with a wave of her hand, striding out of the kitchen mumbling something that sounded along the lines of you've been back not even a day and already Jiyong-oppa is pestering you.
To which Seungri quickly informs her that in Jiyong's defense they hadn't seen each other for at least two days before his departure. Not that Seungri cares about his sister's opinions of Jiyong. Honest. Speaking of, he's being awfully quiet on the other end of the line.
"Well?"
"Well what?"
"Why didn't Youngbae-hyung call himself?"
"He's busy"
"Busy?"
"Yah! Are you hard of hearing today? Yes, he's busy."
"Busy doing what?"
By now Seungri has no problem envisioning Jiyong pacing back and forth in his room, a hand reaching up to tug frustratingly at hair only to realise that it's no longer there anymore so he'll flail instead. If Seungri hadn't already been 100% sure then the exasperated groan would've been one hell of a clue.
"Things! Stuff! I'm his best friend, not his baby sitter!"
"Right...."
"You wanna die?"
"If you miss me all you have to do is say so, Jiyongie~"
"That's Jiyongie-hyung to you."
"Don't change the subject. You miss me."
"I don't."
"You do."
"Why would anyone miss someone as annoying as you?"
"I don't know. Why would you?"

"Not particularly."

"They say memory is the first to go."
This was the point where Seungri would normally have to start making a plan of escape that included a quick fake to the left so he could make a run for the front door, but it was amazing the level of boldness that easily appeared when a phone line and a bus ride were involved.

"Are you ready to admit you miss me? Denial doesn't suit you, Jiyong."
"Jiyong-hyung."
"You're changing the subject again."
"There's nothing to change, I don't miss you."
"You do."
"I don't."
