The Golden Compass

I read The Golden Compass for a children's lit course at Mac. The first 100 pages felt painfully slow for me, but after that I just devoured the rest of the book, and the ones that follow in the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman.

I'm looking forward to this movie because a lot of really interesting concepts are explored.
