T.V. = BAD

Don't get me wrong, I love television. Its great entertainment. Its a great medium to bring out our emotions like laughter and anger. It can bring news to us faster than anything else. Plus I could spend all day watching cartoons on it. But thats just the problem, I can NEVER TURN IT OFF. I just recently routed cable into my bedroom which I thought would be awesome. BAD IDEA. Now I come home from work or school and say to myself, "I'll just watch an hour of T.V. and then I'll study or read." HAHAHAHA I might as well have said "I'm going to cut off my leg with a toothpick." Because at 1 in the morning I'm still watching T.V., I haven't done anything productive, and all I can think about is "One more 1/2 hour, one more 1/2 hour!" Because of this I have only gotten about 3-4 hours of sleep each night this past week. Someone save me from this endless Hell! Tonight I unplugged the cable from the back of the television set so I wouldn't have the urge to turn it on while I was studying. Now, some of my friends (Greg and his brother Brad) do not have cable. I thought they were just saving money, when Greg told me once that if he had cable all he would do is watch it, all the time. "HaHa.. sure", I laughed mockingly to myself. Sure enough you were right G. Now I have to catch it off guard and destroy it, before it comes after me in my sleep.
