Man, I have been happy lately. I think a very good part of that has been A) gorgeous weather, B) Delicious. Food. Truly, what more out of life could I want??

It's always like that coming out of the Rutgers bubble. Suck it, dining hall. Friday lunch was me eating at Applebee's with my folks: shrimp and spinach salad, pomegranate margarita. Last night was STEAK, which for a number of years was my favorite food. And today after church madre, broseph and I hit up an Italian market. So we made that olive oil dip that's chock-full of herbs and garlic, in which you dip yummyyummy fresh bread. And had vodka penne and salad and, I couldn't help myself, just a smidgaroonie of Italian wine. I was in heaven!

I've been thinking a lot recently about my Vision of the Future, and it most certainly involves eating like this. And cooking like this. I forsee myself cooking, I really do! It cannot be that hard, can it? The rest of the vision: living in (??) probably Europe, jogging daily, subscribing to interior decorating magazines such as Elle Decor, subscribing to travel magazines, buying the occasional Fitness or Health magazine, having at least an upright piano, being well stocked with wines and champagne for all occasions... Buying organic, ha ha! Do I sound like a douchebag yet?

=)

Another thing I've been thinking about is that one of my favorite things is wearing a new pair of socks. So wonderfully cushiony and pristine.
One of my least favorite things in life is losing a sock. That just makes me extremely grumpy. So much of my happiness dependent on socks, hm!

delicious obsessions
