...Super Dictionary? I am not your writer (obvs), but I am stalking Yuletide letters, and this looks intriguing. Is it a book? Who is the author, please? Or is it an online thing of some sort - in which case, can I please have a link? Because your description makes me go I MUST READ THIS.

(Happy Yuletide! Also, YOUR ICOOOOOOOOOOON. *all the love* Is it snurchable?)

The Super Dictionary is a book. In the late '70s, DC decided to produce something "educational", but instead they published the Super Dictionary. It's meant to be a picture dictionary for little kids to learn words from Superman and Batman and Wonder Woman and all the other DCs (plus El Dragon, who was created just for this), but the definitions are mostly strange and circular and the illustrations are frequently bizarre and kind of inappropriate. It's amazing. :D (And out of print, so it can be either hard to find or obnoxiously expensive. I got my copy for something like $15 on ebay, though, so it's not impossible to obtain. Other people less lazy than I am have scanned and uploaded a lot of it, so some Googling around should find you a good idea of what it contains.)

Icon is totally gankable. I love it deeply, but I did not make it. Happy Yuletide! :D

...wait, is that the one where Lex Luthor stole forty cakes? (Which is as much as four tens, and that is awful?) Because I've totally seen scans from that one, but didn't know the source. *goes to poke around*
