BOOT CAMP IS OVER.
For the record, I just graduated from boot camp at Ft. Jackson yesterday. Unfortunately I will not have the opportunity to return home as I had hoped. I arrived at Ft. Meade in Maryland last night at 2300 (which is 11:00 pm) to report to A.I.T. My actual classes don't begin for almost a month, but I have been assured that they will find SOME way to keep me and my fellow classmates busy till they begin.
Today I am still unpacking, and getting my barracks squared away, as there is an inspection on Monday that everyone here is preparing for. I don't have many extra privileges quite yet but they are on the way. to me the fact that I have access to e-mails again is reward enough for the time being.
I missed keeping up with all your live journals, and hope to find time to catch myself back up to speed soon. Keep in touch ...
