Journal - "Just a bunch of random stuff."
I'm picking away at Trying again. Ugh, Phoebe and Gerald are so boring let me get back to THE DREAM TEAM. This chapter really shouldn't be that long, but I'm taking a damn long time with it.
ALSO I have a question for HA! fans for something that relates to an upcoming part of Trying. It's kind of a stupid, minor detail, but it has been bothering me and I really need this information soonish. In Dinner For Four Helga reserves a table as Helga Von SOMETHING. I can pronounce it, but I have NO IDEA how it is spelled. Buron? Buren? Byeren? BYEHALJFDLSKJF?
I THINK it's Buren, but can anybody second this/clarify?
So I really wish that I hadn't made Helga a coffee drinker and had instead put in a little homage to Hot Air wherein Helga is a tea junkie and Gerald loves coffee and then they fight (and sometimes make out?). Oh! By the way, Pyrus Japonica updated Ice Water in February! CHAPTER SIX SO GOOD. God, I would love for her to finish Ice Water and the rest of the "Elements" series.
Over the years I have become EXTREMELY picky about the fic that I read. I was over at FFN today picking through the HA! section of fic and ugh, everything is so MEDIOCRE. I feel like it's hypocritical of me to be like "Bah" to other fic when mine isn't really anything spectacular though. IDK. Part of it is just that I haaaate high school fic. Despite the fact that IT MAKES SENSE for HA! fic to take place during high school. All I want is adventure/romance stuff! THAT IS IT!
Why is it that fic on LJ just seems SO MUCH BETTER than fic on FFN? Because when I read HA! fic from my flist I am NEVER DISAPPOINTED, but going through FFN I am just like "Uggggh, this is all the SAME DAMN STORY."???
IN OTHER NEWS, I'm about to hit up the Pokemon League. I'm currently trying to trek back through caves and shit for EXP/sekrit items. I'm still WAY WAY UNDERLEVELED except maybe Meeri my Ampharos who is @ lvl 43. I miss the VS Seeker SO MUCH.
To wrap this up, I once again would love love love questions for my Trying characters. Pretty much all the HA! cast is fair game, but I will be honest when I say that things will be better thought out if you ask the "main" kids. I have no idea what Oskar is up to in Trying. D:
