Title: Time to Think
Fandom/Universe: iCarly
Character(s): Freddie, Carly
Rating: K+

“Carly.”

She’s frozen and shivering next to him, her eyes stretched wide refusing to turn away from the monitor. Freddie lays a hand on her shoulder and slowly spins her around in the chair. At first she’s completely still, still reveling in the shock, but slowly she cranes her neck upwards to look at him.

“Oh.” Is all she can whimper before her face crumples into a frenzy of tears and wails. He throws his arms around her, runs fingers through her hair and whispers gentle promises in her ear. She shakes in his embrace and wishes she could cry on his shirt, but it’s been so long since she’s seen him and she’s not even sure he likes her anymore, so she just buries her face in her own hands instead.

“Shhhh,” he soothes, “ C’mon Carly, please don’t cry. We’ll find him. We’ll save him.”

“We don’t even know where he is! And he’s all alone and scared and what can we do?” She cries, rubbing her hand across her nose and only manages to make it even worse. “Ugh, I need a tissue.” She says through snotty tears.

He pulls a white handkerchief out of his front pocket and hands it to her. She looks at it skeptically for a moment, but her need for a tissue overrides her initial displeasure.

“God, these things are a breeding ground for germs. I can’t believe your mom let’s you keep one.”

“Carly, I’m 20 years old.”

She snorts into the cloth.

“As if that matters to your mom.” She sasses. He rolls his eyes, but she’s got a point.

“I do wash it, y’know.” He says gently, brushing away the last few tears with his thumb. “I haven’t turned into a complete slob. Plus, it helps when girls start crying.”

She laughs.

“So you’re a heartbreaker now?” Carly teases. He smirks in response, which causes her to start giggling again. And things are almost normal.

But it’s the “almost” part that matters most.

“C’mon,” he says, grabbing for her hand. She wraps her fingers around his and allows him to lift her out of her seat.

“Where are we going?” She asks, “W-we should call the police. And start planning what to do a-and…”

He squeezes her fingers and pulls her towards the door.

“I don’t know about you, Carly, but I think I need a smoothie to help me think.”

Carly smiles.

“Groovy.”

Title: Mirrors
Fandom/Universe: iCarly
Character(s): Carly, Gibby
Rating: Teen
Warnings/Triggers: There are set up parallels to sexual assault, but it doesn't actually happen at all. Carly gets understandably freaked out when she's all alone in a house of mirrors and hears footsteps approach.

She turns left only to be greeted with another room full of herself. Carly lets out a groan of disappointment and angrily slaps the palm of her hand against the glass of a mirror. She let him get away.

Distantly she can hear footsteps moving towards her. Sam and Freddie, she thinks as she lets out a soft sigh, head resting against the cool pane of glass.

“I’m here!” She calls, hoping they’ll be able to make their way towards her through the maze of mirrors.

The footsteps pause.

“Guys?” She says and then yells again, “I’m in here! Can you hear me?”

The footsteps start up again, louder and closer this time. Carly lets out a small, relieved sigh and leans back - depressed, but content for the moment.

She bolts upright.

There is only one set of footsteps walking towards her.

Carly runs her hands along the edge of a mirror and begins frantically searching for an exit. Her fingers scratch against the glass as she lets out a small cry. She can’t find a way out and the footsteps are so close.

A masked figure enters the room of mirrors.

Carly screams and swings her arms at him, but he catches her wrist and holds onto it. She stares up into the masked man’s eyes and lets out a shriek of despair. His eyes are smirking at her and Carly is all alone in a room with some masked freak and she feels all the strength rush out of her body. She wants to push him away, but her fingers are fumbling uselessly at her side.

“Carly?” The masked man breathes, gently as babies. With his free hand he tugs off his mask to reveal a strikingly familiar young man.

“G-Gibby?” She whispers, relief flooding her system. She has never been so happy to see a friendly face in her life. With a small gleeful squeal she flings her arms around his neck and buries her face in his shoulder. He hesitates for a moment, before wrapping his own arms around her waist.

There is something surprisingly comforting in the rise and fall of his chest, Carly thinks to herself before gently pulling back.

“It’s been too long.” She says softly.

He nods, hands still lingering awkwardly beside her hips.

“Yeah.”

Title: Found
Fandom/Universe: iCarly
Character(s): Sam, Otto, Freddie, Carly
Rating: K+

“Those things are so nasty. Don’t know how you can stomach ‘em.” Otto mocks. In response she juts out her jaw and makes a horrible grunting sort of noise. “If you ain’t careful your face is gonna get stuck like that someday, Puckett.” He says with a laugh as he heads back to the car he’s been tinkering with all morning.

“Hope so.” She calls after his retreating back.

“Fifteen minutes and then it’s back to work for you, Puckett.” He calls over his shoulder.

“Slave driver!”

He laughs at her again, but doesn’t turn back, allowing her to turn back to her lunch.

Sam carefully unwraps a small cupcake from its wrapping and pops the whole thing into her mouth. She makes a face at the less than stellar taste of the thing, but it’s the memory that’s the important part. Sam closes her eyes and imagines being back in the Shay’s apartment, rifling through the kitchen, sucking cream out of cupcakes. She can picture the insanity of the studio (the colors swirl together) and Carly’s laugh (bright black-brown eyes smiling) and Freddie’s whine (a surprisingly soft hand in hers) and a warm feeling in the pit of her stomach. As she chews she feels home.

She licks her fingers after she’s finished, trying to make the feeling last.

Sam misses so much.

She finishes up the rest of her lunch and manages to have an extra five minutes to spare. Sam decides to spend it goofing around on her cell phone.

“Are you sure this is the place?”

She freezes.

“Yeah, this is the address Socko gave me.”

“Don’t you think you should have told him what was going on? I think he has a right to know what’s happened to Spencer, don’t you?”

“Shh, be quiet! We don’t wanna be overheard.” A pause. “…I couldn’t do it. I-I couldn’t admit that Spencer….”

The slight shifting of cloth.

“Don’t worry, Carly. We’re going to find him.”

Sam wraps her fingers around the edge of the row of car parts she had been hunkered down in and stares at her two old best friends as they stand in the middle of the garage and everything inside of her twists into terrible knots.

She’s got to get out of there.

Sam leaps to her feet and makes a mad dash for the back door, but in her frenzy she trips over a box of odd car parts and goes tumbling into one of the aisles. She screams as she goes crashing down with it.

“Holy shit!” Freddie yells, shielding Carly behind him as they watch a bunch of aisles seem to collapse for no apparent reason.

“Puckett?!” Otto shouts as he pushes past them, bolting for the shelves. Carly and Freddie shoot one another a terrified look and then go rushing forward. Freddie manages to overtake Otto and reaches the ruins first. He looks around wildly for some sign of Sam Puckett.

He hears a soft groan of pain from somewhere to his left and he rushes into a pile of paint cans and mufflers, aiming for a small blonde figure wedged uncomfortably in the middle of one of the shelves.

“Fuck.” Sam whimpers, shaking in fear and a little bit of pain.

“Sam!” She hears a familiar voice call, she lets out another groan of pain, but this one is not caused by any sort of physical ailment.

“What’s up Freddork?” She taunts as she peers blearily up at him. She winces as he bends down to wrap his arms around her small frame and help her out of the wreckage.

“You’re welcome,” He huffs. She slowly stands up, but teeters into him, leaning heavily on Freddie’s chest. She feels angry and hot and bitter all at the same time, and she gets the feeling that he isn’t feeling all that different. They hadn’t exactly parted on excellent terms.

Still, he didn’t hesitate to rush into a huge pile of now-broken car parts to save her, so she supposes he must not completely hate her.

She digs her fingers into the back of his shirt and together they wobble back to solid ground.

“You’re okay.” Carly says, breathing out a sigh of relief.

“Yeah,” Sam grunts in agreement, fingers twisting the fabric at the back of Freddie’s shirt. If he minds, he doesn’t say so.

“Spencer’s missing.” Carly says suddenly, eyes welling up with tears. Sam lets out a breath she didn’t realize she’d been holding and Freddie slowly moves out of her grip so that she can rush forward to wrap her arms around Carly.

“Don’t worry.” Sam whispers, holding Carly as tight as possible. “We’ll find him.”

Title: Shades of Love
Fandom/Universe: Hey Arnold!
Character(s): Wolfgang, Helga
Rating: Teen

“Looking good, Pataki.” Wolfgang calls as he watches her enter the small office. She flips him off and crosses the room to her makeshift desk.

“Fuck off, Wolfgang, I don’t have time for your bullshit this morning.” She says tersely as she reaches out a hand. “I presume you’ve filled out the status report and are here to hand it to me?

He holds it out to her. She snatches it from his hands and then turns her back on him as she begins to read.

“Don’t worry, babe. Hungover looks good on you. Dig the shades, even though you don’t really need him what with the whole eyesight problem thing.” He smirks at her as she continues to ignore him. “So what were you up to last night? Getting crazy with some of the new recruits? Or didja spend the night wrapped up in the big, beefy arms of your little wheezy studmuffin?”

Helga whirls on Wolfgang and slams her fist into the side of his cheek. He doesn’t even have a chance to block her punch.

“SHIT!” He yells. “Jesus, Pataki, I was joking!”

“Get the fuck out of my office, Wolfgang. When I say I don’t have time for your bullshit, I fucking mean it.” She crosses her arms over his chest and glares down at him through dark shades. He scowls at her and clenches his fists, but even he knows an order when he hears one.

He stomps towards the door, but pauses a second before leaving.

“So…” He glances back at her over his shoulder, his mouth turning upwards in another sly smile, “Dinner on Friday?”

She answers with a neatly thrown stapler to the head.

a/n: I was going to try and crank out another, but I am TIRED. And I'm also out of iCarly prompts and I think I was really feeling those ones tonight. My least favorite is actually the Sam/Freddie one, because it was long and random and also there wasn't a lot of Sam/Freddie at all.

BTW, all the iCarly ones take place in my Lost!Spencer futureverse. Basically the gang has grown apart, but have to reunite to save Spencer who has been kidnapped or something. I will never write this story, but I like playing inside the universe!

And my Helga/Wolfgang one is from my dark!verse that will also never be written, but that I enjoy thinking about from time to time.
