Mom be Happy!

Oct 26, 2006 15:53

Normally I'd be on my walk right now, but my walking buddy can't go until later, so it's delayed. Whee! Time for an update, I suppose... since I'm already awake.

Yesterday was a lot of work! Jessica and Marisa came over and we cleaned house! Before Jessica came over, I had Dave help me get the little dresser into the house, so that I might be able to have the little dresser in my room. Before I brought it in, though, I went about moving everything. I pulled my desk to the middle of the room and pulled up the carpet tacks along the wall. Pushed that back, then moved the bed out. Pulled carpet tacks out of the wall, then got soapy water to wash down the walls - my sister didn't wash before moving the bed, apparently. (BTW! My bucket that I used for soapy water was a witches cauldron, 'cause that's all I could find. It amused Jessica.)

Washed down the walls, then moved the bed back. Moved the dresser and got up the tacks there... then finally finished with moving everything out of the closet and getting the tacks up there. Went to move the little dresser into my room, got David's help again. It took about an hour and a half. Was insane. About twenty minutes later, Jess called and said she was coming over. I was happy! Though, I did spend the 10 or so minutes just relaxing a bit more.

David started taking down the trampoline in the backyard. He was cursing up a storm, too. ::shakes head:: Silly Doovid. Jessica got to hear him cursing too. Though, eventually we shut the door and tuned him out. We did MAJOR cleaning of the front room area. ::nodnod:: Moved the couch out. I got up the carpet tacks along the wall, while Jessica dusted away the cobwebs... then made use of the oh so nifty little vacuum to vacuum up some cobwebs, and some spiderwebs, and countless spiders. All with a sadistic gleeful pleasure. ::grin:: Yes yes, Jessica, I know. They asked for it because they showed themselves.

Anyhoo! After that was done, I went and tried to get the other vacuum to maybe suck up some of the cat hair that was stuck to the couches... to no avail. Jessica took down pictures from the fireplace mantle and dusted behind them... and dusted them. We then got my cauldron and wiped down the windowsill (this was after Jessica took down the curtains, and I made Dave throw them in the wash. Made Dave do it 'cause they were smoking pot in the garage, and I had no wanting to go in there - Jess agreed with me). Lots of little spider ... things. Cleaned it nice and good, though! And wiped down the wall a bit, too.

We put the couch back, then moved over to the dining room to pick up the area near Fluffy's litter box. Cat pee is prolly the worst smell ever, but I am not so sure, as I seem to be able to tolerate it. ... It wasn't so much fun getting the carpet tacks up in that area, though... Fixed up that area, then moved back to the front room! The vacuum was a lost cause, so we went and got sheets. Folded blankets and put them away, threw the clean clothes in the room of those they belonged to... then covered the couch with sheets.

Rest time. And wait for Rizzy to show up time. ::nodnod:: Rizzy did show up, and we rested for a bit, and talked, then moved on to the kitchen.

Kitchen got a wipe down. Rizzy told me that I didn't know how to clean with friends, though. ::smirks:: She said I am supposed to give them all the nasty jobs, and I take all the easy ones. The kitchen was mostly clean as it was... but we used the cauldron and wiped stuff down to make it even more clean. THEN! Brownie time!

I would like to let it be known that the brownie is now completely finished. We had no brownie pan, so we used a round cake pan. Turned out well enough! Ghirardelli with chocolate syrup brownie mix. Gooooood. ::nodnod: Rizz, Jess, and I talked a whole lot while we 'cleaned' the kitchen. I also started making dinner, 'cause Dave and I had bowling later on that night. Rizzy is the Founder of the C Cubed, and Jessica is the Vice President. ::noddle:: That was decided yesterday while on the phone with clone. ... and Jessica finds it amusing to make me do the blank stare thing... though... as I'm making brownies, saying something like, "there! It's all greased! We can wrestle in it now!" is evil... ... right!

Went to bowling afterwards, and had to say toodlies to the friends. Though, we're hanging out on Friday, so much goodness there. YAY! Went bowling. David and I were the only ones for our team there. Mom had to work late. FINALLY got my brownie while bowling. EYE CANDY! There was most definitely eye candy on the lanes. He was a left handed bowler. Cuuuuute. Very cute. And at the third game, when he was totally messin' up with his bowling, he and I got into an argument about the fact that I was stealing his oil. "See... I'm messing up 'cause of her." "Me? Why me?" "Because you steal all my oil!" "There are ::counts:: four people between you and me! I go after you, not vice versa. So there." "They're all right handed." "So'm I!" "Ha! I've been watching. You have a backup ball. Can't fool me with that! You bowl like a lefty." I laughed and went up to bowl. It was amusing. They were a good team. We beat them two games of three. I bowled a 156, 160, and 190. The first two games were below my average. The last rather high above it... (162 was. I think 165 is my average now.)

Mom didn't make it bowling, but that's okay. When she got home, she was happy. She noticed the cleanliness. She said it felt fresher in the house. So ::high fives Jessica and Rizzy:: Yay! Mom says thanks. She very much appreciated it, even if the kitchen ended up being messier 'cause I didn't have time to clean right after dinner. Will clean that today.

Random note: I'm walking too fast. ::grin:: Trying to get my hour in of walking, and now I seem to be walking too fast so I don't get the hour. Going to have to add on to my route and make it longer. Granted, going into valleyview will always add onto my route, and hazelnut... but I think we'll take a different route today. Go around the right side of the park then head over to the left. ::noddle::

Oh. Right. Talked with Dan. For eight minutes. He has an interview today... which he decided to tell me about on Tuesday when *I* called *him.* I nearly... nearly asked, "So. Did we break up without my knowledge? 'Cause it seems that way." But the very moment I heard his tired voice answer the phone... I couldn't. I couldn't say those words even after he asked how I was doing. Perhaps I'm far too nice. ::shrug:: but, ya know... I'm a bit detached from it all. However, a part of me wants to have someone random call him and ask him, "If you were working, and you got a promotion, who would be the first person you would tell?"

I'm pretty certain of his answer. "Uh... I don't know, my mom, I guess, if I had to tell anyone." I'd *like* to believe it is me... but we'd have to have some kind of talking thing happening for that to be true. So far, since I left, he has called me once... and that was only after I called him. I hear, "the kittens are fine." and "they are having a blast." ... but not much more than that. I'm truly not sure just how much everything is bothering me... partly far too wrapped up in my own life to truly care too much. Though, I do think of them often enough.

Is it that hard to pick up the phone and call someone who is s'poseta be your significant other? Even if just to say 'hi'? Or to say 'I might have a job'? Or even just 'how have you been?'? Apparently, for him, it is. Well, post long enough, stoppin' now. Whee!
