Christmas and beyond

Christmas was great, but now i'm feling a little flat. I did so much in the lead up to it with presents for the family, decorating and cooking that now I'm at a bit of a loose end. My dad and I hosted Chrissie dinner for mum's side of the family, which ironically, she refused to come to. She's still having major issues with just about everyone and 'can't handle' seeing them. It's so silly and getting kinda old especially when she copes when she wants something. Anyway, lots of food and fun was had. I ended up inviting a friend from my wiccan course to have dinner with us because he has no family. But now I just feel weird about it. He suffers from brain damage or something like that and he's the same age as my dad, but now he has a crush on me. He intimated that he wanted me to be his girlfriend and now i'm totally not sure what to say/do. I thought he knew that i'm gay, and that he's 30 years older than me. I guess i'll just have to spell it out to him. grumph. I hate it when this happens :(

Anyway.. its a blue moon tomorrow and I've been invited to participate in a protective working for the sea shepherd. They left port a couple of weeks ago to patrol antartic waters for japanese whalers. However, the japanese government has given the whalers permission to hurt/kill the people on the shepherd, so we're joining with over 2000 covens Australia wide to seek protection for them. My teacher, lady Tamara helped lauch the ship with the Irwins so she's very tied up with the people and the vessel. This will be the biggest workings I've been able to do so far, and i'm very excited. It's the first blue moon in two years so the energies will be amazing.

This year has been great and i'm looking forward to 2010. It feels strange to be looking forward to anything really. I didn't think i would be alive still, and I really didn't think i would be enjoying living. But, well, things change and i'm happy that they've changed for the better. So hopefully 2010 will be awesome!
