'Wow', said Death. 'What a big watermelon'!

I'm excited! I'm going down to the farm on monday to help my uncle plow and seed his crop. It shouldn't be too hard because its the same tractor I used during harvest. I just came back from Kojonup and Esperance last week, but in my opinion one can never spend too much time in the country. The thought of this farm visit will be the only thing to ( Read more... )

what! You are such a copy cat Miss Alisa! I'm the one with the low blood pressure. You can't take that away from meeeee!!! *sulks*

No, I'm good. :D But seriously, why is it so low? Not getting enough fluids?

I've walked though karrakatta in the dark before. I was a bit scared I'd get lost actually, because in the day it's ok, but in the night I couldn't see the path through the bush I was intending on taking. I swear that God guided my feet, because I made all the right turns! Little creepy, but mostly ok. I was confused that there wasn't more light though. In Buffy, there's always enough light for her to see where she's going! *nods sagely*

I'm glad that you're going back to the country. :) Though, it means I might want to reshuffle a couple of things so I can see you before you go. Doing anything Friday evening after Clare?

Yeah sorry bout stealing your blood pressure thunder. Its probably caused by one of the meds i'm on called Propranolol. Its a beta-blocker that calms the sympathetic nervous system and alleviates anxiety. In higher doses its used to treat high blood pressure, but the low dose I'm on really shouldn't be affecting me that way. I guess my body is sensitive to it or something.

I'm only going to be in the country from monday to friday so dont stress too much. I'll be back soon, unless get run over by a rogue tractor. I'm going to dinner at Clare Jacksons house after Clare D, so i'm not available then, sorry.

Hooray for thyroxine! It's magic stuff :) Made me feel awake for the first time in years when I started on it. I hope it goes well for you!

Also, here is a Paranoid Warning: there is often quite a high rate of crimes being committed in/around cemetries. This is because theives and other such nasty people prey on the grieving friends/relatives who will be busy at services or visiting a grave for a certain predictable length of time. Mostly such crime is car break-ins, but it isn't uncommon for a theif to be surprised in the act, and then who knows how they'll react. I know I'm paranoid, but... you can never be too careful!

I am totally on board with your paranoia. Graveyards don't scare me as a rule, not even at night, but people do. And you never know who may be in there with you or what their intentions are. I don't plan to have anymore nighttime forays in Karrakatta :)

Also..er.. if you don't mind me asking, what dose of thyroxine are you on? I'm still in the process of getting mine adjusted and i don't really know what is typical for women our age. I so glad to hear that its working for you :)

I'm only on 50s, my Mum's been on 200s for years and years and years, and also has to take tertroxine (not sure of spelling) to keep hers in order. My cousin (our age) had a very early onset of Hashimoto's (which is what all of us have) and has been on the stuff from quite a young age, at the maximum dosage for her size- that she never took. Apparently, her doctors say that her mum managed to force just enough down her throat to avoid impaired brain development :S Not sure what dosage she's on now. My aunt also has it, but I'm not sure of her dosage either.
