First Section: win

Mar 09, 2009 09:44

Five minutes into section, I thought it was all over. I was addle-brained and staring blankly at students. I fell back on their discussion questions. Twenty minutes in, I hit my stride, asked a leading question, and got them to spend the rest of the time cheerfully talking to me and each other about parenting and gender roles. Small victories.

I really need to write a post about crying, Watchmen, parenting, country music, teaching, storytelling, faith, and (of course) ethnomethodology. Maybe at 2:30. Looking forward to lunch with brother today.
