1. Everyone is an expert (indeed the only expert) on their own lived experience.
2. People can become experts on things they’ve studied extensively.

At Elmo's urging, I have done a few drawings related to The Comedy. Here's the trouble, as I was trying to draw one of the main characters, I realized I could never get him to look the way he did in my head...and I didn't really want to.
