Monday morning, I woke up ready to hit the parks. We planned for Magic Kingdom on our first and last days, Monday and Friday. Magic Kingdom crowd level is rated 3 out of 10. Before catching the bus, I
went to the Port Orleans cafeteria for a cinnamon bun, as would become the procedure almost every morning. I caught the bus over in time to catch the
opening of the park, where several characters ride in on a train and sing the park open. The others arrived from their hotel about 15 minutes after
me, and we were on our way.
I was not brave enough to bring my camera on this first day, so all of the pictures are from B's camera -- some by me, and some by him. Tea cups and Dumbo
proved great starting points.
We were a bit in shock of how to manage rides with the kids, but just enjoyed what we could, and didn't worry about the rest. The most exciting/annoying part
was getting stuck on Pirates of the Caribbean! "Dead men tell no tales..." Over and over, for over half an hour. Finally, the workers came inside to help
us out of the boats and through a back door around the ride. At least it makes for a good story.
Dinner was outside the park at Kona Cafe in the Polynesian hotel. I believe I got a slab of beef. It was good. :) We hurried back to the park
after dinner in order to get a good space for the parade. Due to wet conditions, it was delayed quite a bit, which was very uncomfortable packed in
with others in mugginess, but I think the kids did really well. Once the parade started, all was forgotten, and we had a blast. Big K's smile was
worth it all. We then quickly made it over for the Wishes fireworks show. It was impressive as always. Finally, we stuck around a bit for the Villains
show, but it was finally canceled due to wet conditions. Parade pics by

Back to Port Orleans for a good night's rest. Before going to bed, I walk over the bridges and island to enjoy seeing the people up late at night,
breaking the pool rules, or filling up on caffeine in the cafeteria.
To be continued...
