So, what's the right tip after a restaurant poisons you?

That's my question of the day. They served me the wrong dish at the local Carrow's... I didn't realize until I'd eaten some. The dish they served me had ham in it. I know that the last time I had beef contaminated food, I became severely ill. That means I've probably lost the enzymes to process beef. There's a decent chance that pork products will also not be digestible to me, which means extreme pain, discomfort, and grossness. I won't know til later. I have a fairly high pain tolerance... I've lived with severe migraines all of my life. I broke my nose and didn't seek medical treatment because it didn't seem painful enough to be a break. Meat contamination is excruciatingly painful. It's not as bad as the worst migraine, although it has the downside that you can't lie in bed or sleep through it. But it's really quite bad.

They did correct it after we pointed it out. They corrected it promptly and with no fuss. But they violated me by tricking me into eating meat and may well have also poisoned me. That's not something they can undo.

I am very upset. Not an enjoyable meal at all. And whether or not it makes me physically ill; I feel sick to my stomach from the psychological aspect. If you don't know what that's like, imagine finding a really disgusting bug in your food or anything else you'd find utterly repulsive to eat. They had pieces of chopped up dead animal flesh in my food... how gross is that?

We decided to tip, but not as much as we would have had they not messed up so egregiously. It's not entirely the waiter's fault. And he was otherwise quite nice and everything. (But other than that, how did you enjoy the show, Mrs. Lincoln?)

My life is really not going as well as I'd like.

medical, personal
