I tried reading Catcher in the Rye but I couldn't finish it. It may be because I only came to read the book in middle age, but I think Holden Caulfield is a whiny, self-centered git that needs to be punched in the teeth. I know people older than me who tell me "Oh, that's, like, my most favorite book ever! I can relate to it so much!" Seriously? You're forty-something years old and an extremely immature adolescent's ranting is what you can most relate to?
Yes, I'm middle aged. I don't look like it, I certainly don't act like it... but I write like it, I think.
I'm working on a Steampunk outfit for con cosplay. My theme will be Tropical/Summer. Found shoes today, and a cute little lace shrug. I have two dresses (one white, one pink) that need a little taking in at the shoulders, and a hat.
Among my tasks for the extra-long weekend is cleaning out my closet and packing stuff away. I have to pare down and start shipping stuff.
Why is it nobody's ever on in the chat rooms when I'm available?
