Made It Through!

A month and some days has passed but I am pleased to report that made it through our first month back at work!

I'm glad that some things did work out for me, in terms of scheduling what days I can come in or work from home. Honestly I wouldn't mind it if we did continue this way post pandemic. At least have Friday as an optional work from home sort of day.

The PPE equipment that the university provided is helpful but I am grateful that the PPE grant award I wrote is helping us out more as we definitely got a huge allotment of supplies to last us for a while.

As expected there were cases reported, though at first it was primarily off campus and/or from the apartment complex across from the campus as a cluster was identified from a party. However as of yesterday, there was a report of the first cluster on campus grounds from one of the dormitories. Some other universities had to tell students to leave and/or transition to online classes by the end of the first week. We are still in (limited) face to face classes but there is a larger online option. Not to mention certain professors are willing to let students transition to online learning if their parents contact them.

I was also grateful to be a part of the donation process of a historical work of art to the archives. I was honored to have the family of the subject in the piece attend the event as well.

I am good in my classes and thinking of taking one more class (one of those shorter semester types). This would shift me closer to graduating in May or at least walking the stage (if we can walk).

Though I have been doing some self study in terms of acting, I feel that maybe I should look into online workshops for this last portion of the year. Next year I can start off looking to audition for a local/state production.
