The US and Germany announced that they would send Abrams and Leopard tanks to Ukraine.

Zelensky thanked the Western leaders for sending the tanks and stated that they needed to be delivered quickly and in large numbers. He also urged the West to send long-range missiles and fighter jets.

Russia called this statement "an outright provocation".
