9-8-07: Baby Sharks vs. Baby Ducks Game

Sep 18, 2007 13:55

September flew by faster than expected. I didn't realize how many days I had missed writing entries and even catching up w/ my f-list. It's only been 3-4 weeks since classes started, and I've been drained like whoa, especially my Mondays and Wednesdays. I'll been in class/lab all morning/afternoon long and I have my other class until 6. As soon as I get home, I pretty much have dinner (or don't have dinner at all if my bedtime is super early) and sleep. And of course the other things that has happened all last week ranging from classes, Kings Training Camp, ect. which has kept me away from the computer until Sunday.

Anyways, if case you missed it.

Kings Fall Rookie Camp 9-6-07

The other rookie camp entries are linked onto this entry. ^^

Well, hours before the Baby Sharks/Baby Ducks game, I did my first photoshoot in the studio. Although I was taught how to do studio portraits in my past classes, I never really got to shoot any studio portraits until now. It was alright at first, but towards the end I got the hang of it and it was fun.

After the studio shoots were over, then Nommie and I were on our way to Anaheim for the Sharks/Ducks game. We met up w/ irislily and we made it in time for the game. All I could say that the seats at Anaheim Ice sucks ass! The bench seating were absolutely uncomfortable, and it didn't help when it was extremely crowded.

Otherwise, the game was fun to watch. The first period was all meh until the Sharks scored. I was so surprised that of all players, Luke Fritshaw was at the game. He was w/ the Long Beach Ice Dogs from 2 seasons ago, and the last time I saw him was at this game. He was trying out for the Sharks, and he played like he wanted to be part of this team. Oh yeah, and looks like Bryce Swan had recovered from his injury because he was on the ice playing.

2nd period: it was more exciting to watch since the players were getting more aggressive and were hungry to score one in the next. Even Bobby Ryan got into a fight w/ Frazer McLaren. The sharks scored another goal while goaltender Timo Pielmeier was amazing on goal.

3rd period: Nothing much exciting except there was another fight between Chris Murray and another Ducks player (but now I can't remember who he was). The baby Sharks ended up winning the game 2-1.

After the game, Nommie and I were hanging out at the stands. We'd stalk some of the Baby Sharks in their undergear, getting interviewed while the equipment guys were sharpening skates and putting things away. Then we saw Luke and Jamie McGinn all dressed up and leaving the building. So we decided to leave the building and find their bus in hopes of catching them.

Thankfully we found the bus and a handful of Baby Sharks hanging around. We first went up to Luke and mentioned The Ice Dogs to him. He was happy to see us again. We chatted for a bit and we had our pix taken.

Then afterwards, we saw Jamie & Logan Courture along w/ a couple of players (I thought one of them-who would later be Justin Wallingford) was Derek (the shaved head threw me off), so I went up to them and said "Ottawa 67s?" Then Justin said "not me" but pointed at Jamie and said "he is.." So we chatted w/ Jamie and had him sign my card. I mentioned Ice to him and Logan as well while Jamie handed the card to Logan to sign. Then he, Logan along w/ Justin and James DeLory all posed for a pic. I thanked them and we spotted Derek. I mentioned to him Ottawa 67s as well as Ice while he signed my card and we posed for a pic.

I was hoping to catch Devon Setoguchi and Patrick Bernier, but both of them were on the phone and I didn't want to bother them. By the time they were done, the Baby Sharks had to leave, thus we missed them. Ah well... I did meet many of the Baby Sharks I wanted to meet that night, thus it was all good. ^^

So that was the Baby Sharks vs. Baby Ducks game. That along w/ the Kings rookie camp made up for the South West Rookie Tournament, which unfortunately didn't occur this season. :(

Very very random if you are starting to like/follow KPop all thanx to me let alone SS501. I know fullofhappiness and possibly a couple of you may get this... Anyhow...

Well lately I've been in a SS501 mood and my obsession w/ them has carried on all the way to my hockeyness. Anyways, I spotted a fan in the stands who could very well be Hyungjoong's & Youngsaeng's secret love child. That's because he looked just like Hyungjoong & Youngsaeng's combined! Lastly, after meeting the players, we went back inside the rink so that I can use the restroom. By then, it was the ice skating session, and I spotted one guy who looked like Hyungjoon (Hyungjun) when he had streaks on his hair except the guy was much shorter, skinner, and looked a lot more whiter than him not to mention he looked like a punk/scene version of Baby Hyungjoon. (BTW... Hyungjoon is 100% Korean, but his skin is so light that he looks more mixed or at times Caucasian and I get all squee excited since I'm Caucasian/Asian mixed myself-nonetheless, he one of my top favorite members of SS501 and currently my KPop crush ;]).

Alrighty, I'll shut up now. I need to clean and get ready to go to Trader Joe's job fair (for a potential 2nd job). In the meantime, I'll post some pix from the game. Ice, you're more than welcomed to snag the pix, as long as you credit them when using. Thanx a lot. Anyways, enjoy & have a wonderful day!
