Kings vs. Coyotes 4-7-07
[100+ total pix taken & 92 pix (57 Kings & 35 Ice Dogs) chosen and uploaded during the hockey double header thus this entry will be split into 2 different entries. However, both entries will be picture heavy.]
Anyways, since Nommie didn't have to work during the day, we ended up going to the Kings' last home game of the season. We got there early, and as soon as we got in, we went shopping at Team LA since they had the 40% off sale going on. However, it was total madness since everyone and their mommas were shopping and the lines were so friggin long. I ended up getting a shirt and a pair of flip flops while Nommie got a pair of Sean Burke's game used socks and a set of cards.
I was able to catch the pregame skate where I took a whole bunch of pix, including Jack Johnson, since it was the first time I got to see him.
As for the game, it was not so bad during the first period until the Yotes scored. JMFJ did get into his 1st NHL fight, and I got to witness it. 2nd period got better as the Kings scored 2 goals to tie the game. During the 2nd intermission, I envied all of the contestants who were chosen to win a Toyota Tundra, one of my dream trucks. 3rd period was a nail biter since we were still tied and I was afraid the game would go into OT. The last minute or so of the game, Anze Kopitar scored his 20th goal to give the Kings a win on their last game and JMFJ got into his 2nd fight. In all, it was a sweet game.
Then they had the jersey off the backs ceremony which I envied the winners even more. Mike Cammalleri was voted MVP. This is why Cammy is much love! :D
After the game, we tried to either say goodbye to the Kings or try to meet JMFJ, but there were too many ppl. plus the Red Coats and Cops kept everyone from meeting the players. I didn't even see JMFJ at all while I just barely missed Cammy since I was on the other side attempting to meet Coyotes players, particularly Steve Reinprecht, since I miss him so friggin much. Nommie was able to meet Curtis Joseph, one of his idols. I could've met more Coyotes players including Rhino, but the cops shooed us all away.
