Today my aunt and I went to Pasadena for the American Diabetes Association walk. The route was very easy since I'm pretty much familiar w/ the area. It was slow at time, especially when I didn't have my iPod handy, but talking to a business psychologist from England sped things up. We ended up walking the whole 6 miles around Pasadena. In the end, we were given a bag full of goodies plus Asian chicken salad from Souplantation. What didn't really make sense to me was that they were still serving soda at the event. I understand that we walked so long and worked so hard that we deserved to treat ourselves, but soda is still bad especially at an event that's to prevent diabetes. Ah well... Overall, I had fun not to mention a great work out. However, I'm still drained and a bit sore from walking. I really wished I would've asked everyone to support me by donating pledge money on my behalf, but I joined at the very last minute thus I didn't get to go around asking for donations. Hopefully next time...
After the walk, we had lunch at this place called Shabu Shabu (The Boiling Pot). The food was soooooooo good not to mention very healthy. The neat part is that you get to boil/cook your food and dip it in sauce which makes it sooooo fun! I also got the Sporting New's Hockey Special at Borders.
The rest of this time has been napping since I've been soooo drained! I still need to work on my homework for tomorrow which is revising one of my images of my doll from the photoshoot.
Speaking of which, I have the remaining pix from the photoshoot as well as one other art photo and a few from today's events.
Millie, the lab that is suffering from diabetes. I didn't know animals let alone a dog could get diabetes. When Millie's owners found out she had it, they abandoned her. Thankfully she was rescued and was ready to be adopted.
Me before I walked...
Me after I completed 6 miles walking around Pasadena.
On an unrelated note, Luc Bourdon has been sent back to his Junior Team, Val-D'Or Foreurs of the QMJHL. It was a great move considering that he needs more time developing plus it gives him a chance to play for Team Canada in the World Juniors. I wish him all the best and good luck to him...
And...
Luc vs. The Mighty Sluts...

Well, that's all for now... Till then, have a wonderful night... :)
