Canada In The Day...

Here's what had happend in the past couple days or so...

Friday: I had to stop by at Honey Baked Ham just to buy a pack of ham to send to my parents' work (for their work party). I had to take the bus to their work. I really wished I could've used that time for swimming, but at least I was able to stay for a bit to chow down and stuff.

On the way back, the guy sitting next to me on the bus creeped me out a bit when he was talking to me, so immediately I placed my headphone on my ears and listened to music, even when the batteries on my iPod were running low. I even got off a stop too early, so I walked all the way where I parked my car. Amazingly my iPod didn't die off throughout the bus trip and walk. The rest of that day and night was spent sleeping, catching up on the loss sleep hours due to me pulling a semi-all nighter getting my typography project done.

Yesterday (technically): I watched the NHL special on NBC. It was alright, but the segment w/ Mario and Sidney was the best part! The Tampa Bay Lightning segment comes second behind the Pens...

From there, casia and I took a trip to Monrovia just to go to the Canadian Cafe. It was a rather adventurous trip, but we easily found it. The food was excellent and the service was great! I even had an excellent convo. w/ one of the owners of the restaurant. I also really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. Since it was a Canadian themed restuarant, there were lots of pictures and flags of different Canadian provinces as well as Darryl Evan's stick given to them by the Kings' Equipment Manager's wife. I'm quite surprised that no Kings players have been to that place. Then again it's still unknown to them. Even it was known to them, the drive may be too long... At least the owner told me that they plan on having a t.v. w/ a satellite set up so that they can play more hockey games... hockeychix98, I'm soooooooo taking you there when you come back to Cali...

Overall, it was a great place!!! I felt like I was in heaven eating Canadian food and experiencing Canadian culture. The more I'm soooooo determined to move there! For many years, I've been wanting to go to Canada let alone live there. I may even look into any good art Universities in Canada. One day, I'll be there...

The sweet thing is that it's not too far away from the campus. If I feel like it, I'm willing to drive there whenever I feel like it. Not only is the food and atmosphere excellent, but the food was at a very reasonable price. :D

In fact, I'm craving for the poutine and butterscotch tarts, although I should be dieting... Hopefully sometime this week I shall make another trip to Monrovia...

Lastly, I bought a mug there, but I'm kicking myself for not buying the Smarties w/ the "Eh" on it. The next time I go there, I'm buying one for myself and hockeychix98. I also want to get hockeychix98 that same mug as well... She'll totes love em!

As for the mini road trip, we found the Santa Anita Westfield mall. I plan on going there one day w/ either casia or perhaps Anne when we decide to go on a shopping trip instead of class... It's time for us to go to a different mall to shop.

And I'm spent! I don't think anyone is gonna read this since it's hella early in the morning. I do however have to wake up early for the American Diabetes Association Walk. My aunt and I are gonna do the 10K walk for the American Diabetes Association. I'm walking for my dad and all of my other relatives on my dad's side who has diabetes. We'll see how it goes. Maybe I can push it and walk the whole 10K/6 miles... Anyways, please wish us luck!

I'm gonna sleep now, so have a nice night and morning! :)

P.S.

absenceof_heart: Did you ever send my shirt? Just wondering...

palexgreenxstar: Did you ever find/get the Reader's Digest w/ Sidney Crosby on the cover? Just wondering...

Please let me know if all those things have been done. Anyways, thanx a whole lot! :D
