Closer To Free

Ugh, the rain just makes everything drag. You know when like, you're out of food, and you try to go to the grocery store, but you're out of gas, and then you forget the ONE THING YOU NEEDED TO BUY, and then you start a load of laundry and spill detergent all over the floor (which you just cleaned) and then you rip your dress on your bra? That ever happen to you?

Anyway, Wednesdays are boring. Mondays and Thursdays are insane, Tuesdays and Fridays are passable and there is nothing on Wednesdays. Of course, I'm talking about tv. Do you do anything else?

By the way, there's still a few days left on my Holiday Fic Offerings, if you're interested.

And moving on...

JULIA SALINGER (PARTY OF FIVE)

Yeah, I'm going old school. There just really aren't shows like this any more, that are in for the 'family melodrama'. There's always a mystery to be solved, secrets to be revealed. In any case, I loved Julia. Unfortunately, they're just a tad too back in the day (and I guess not iconic enough) for me to find any scenes of her (that aren't totally shippy, I found plenty of that stuff). Oh, and in case you were wondering...Julia/GRIFFIN all the way, baby.

ERIC TAYLOR (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS)

That clip, of Kyle Chandler's magical, scratchy voice playing over shots of the whole town, and the way we came to know all of these wonderful folks...is it any wonder that they would follow him anywhere, through any battle? (Well, not everyone did, but that man is the truest definition of the word 'hero'.)

*I'm sure a bunch of you were suprised at the female in today's category, wondering why it's not Tami Taylor. Well, by all rights, it should be, but I worked this list out so that there would be no repeats, and she's going somewhere else. And I wanted to show some love to one of my old school favorites- I've watched a lot of tv in my time, after all.
