BANZAI Takuma SATO!!!! - 2007 Canadian Grand Prix

Jun 18, 2007 01:57

The 2007 Formula 1 Grand Prix had about almost everybit of something thrilling.
Safety Car out, black flags, drive through penalty, pitt lane race, pittstop blunder and even more!

Great Job for Super Aguri's Takuma Sato! Unfortunately he didn't win the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix, but what a race for him. Super Aguri, in it's second year, not even a mid-field team gaining not only gaining 3points for the team but did a very cool and agressive overataking manuever on first Ralf Schumacher then on world Champion Fernando Alonso. ばんざい

Finally a win for Lewis Hamilton. A perfect drive for this rookie in this incident filled race. As for the rest of the pack, man--man I don't even know where to start!
The safety car out FOUR(4) TIMES, it seems that the canadian wall has taken it's toll! Worst has been for Robert Kubica thrashing the BMW into pieces. Considering the massive destruction, good thing he only got off with a broken leg.

Very very sad for Fizzy and Masa for getting a black flag. They jumped on the pitt lane while on a red light. (Apparently new rule for this season is that when safety car is out, pitt lane closed unless notified).

It seems like nothing more can interest you in the race, until Anthony Davidson stops in the pitt but no Super Aguri crew to attend to him. Miscommunication, i'm assuming.

Speaking of the pitt, I thought it was all gone for Kimi when he had to cue up behind Masa not until I heard that the earlier stop of Alonso and Rosberg was penalized for pitting when Safety car was out.

It wouldn't have been enough if there was no battle between two great drivers. Alonso VS Kimi, even took that battle to the pittlane!

All in all, great entertainment!
