no comment or opinion on the first one, but the second one is a toughie. on one hand to have a professional actor play the part would make the role as a whole more believable, however only someone going the the same experience can truly bring the passion of that talent out, whether he is good at conveying it or not is another question. if I had to pick one though, I think I would go with seeing the talented actor play the role if not for the only reason that if I were to see andrew lloyd weber playing the part of mozart, i may be inclined if not sbconsciously to see andrew's life, and not mozarts, because I know who that is, and the passion coming from webber would be as a response to his works. seeing a talented actor do it with no previous knowledge of the talented he is said to have by the part would be better.
i agree they are pretty close.marks more dorkish i think but yea a lot of same-ness going on there. and i'd rather see an actor play a composer. i think the composers would agree with me since they always look scared out of their wits when in front of people and not sitting behind a piano.
And Jon and Mark may be similar, but not going through the same things. Simmer down mike. You just aren't the Jon that me and you want or need for the movie.
(And bad analogy...No one in their right mind would choose Weber over Depp, ya cheating bastard...I will post these questions more unbiasedly)
