After lurking on lj for so long but using my own, I've been feeling like a bitch hermit. (That, and I'm desperately trying not to study)
I posted an entry on mock_the_stupid, and happily lurked around my favourite communities, one of them being cf_hardcore. (childfree)
I find that someone made an entry bashing my mock because it was a post about how I allowed a six year old to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: COTBP. WTF?? This is a community dedicated to NOT HAVING CHILDREN (and being damn proud of it) and someone chose to mock the fact that I showed a film that was maybe a little too scary for a six year old, in the privacy of said child's house! While the dad was in the same room! If it was at a cinema and they were shrieking and carrying on I'd understand but...
The funny thing is, I think maybe one person agreed with the OP and it was a short thread. I tried to send to OP an email telling my side of the story, and I found that it was a puppet account being used solely to comment in communities. There wasn't even an email address.
Goddamn, if you're going to insult me, the least you can do is not be a coward and allow me to defend myself. *rolls eyes*
But maybe I'm doing that thing again where I place too much faith in humanity.
I really hate people.
