It's long bugged me that GoogleTalk, Google's instant messaging service, did not have a plug-in for Trillian. As a result, the only times I've bothered with GoogleTalk have been when I've had the gmail website open and noticed someone happened to be online at the time.
I discovered tonight that GoogleTalk can be used with Trillian, or at least with Trillian Pro (which is what I use). You use the Jabber plugin and then set the server to talk.google.com. The username is your gmail address (including @gmail.com), and the password is your gmail password. Everything else should be the default settings. Easy as pie!
