change of address
We're back at the house. Apartment still isn't ready (although it's getting close), but we're staying in the spare room upstairs. Today we bought some new bedding and pillows (using a king sized air mattress for now). I also bought a wireless for my bass - not that I need to go -far-, but I hate being on a leash when I play out. Now I can wander a little. New amp coming soon, when we get the loan money to replace what was ruined in the flood, and then I should be set on gear for a while. (I wanted to get a stand for the acoustic but they didn't have any that were compact enough to toss in a gig bag.)
Also bought a few DVD's - I guess big paychecks are dangerous for me. (I DID pay my bills before we went shopping though.) I thought maybe I'd buy some more clothes but I didn't see anything I liked and resisted the urge to grab more black t-shirts. This was the last big paycheck I'll be getting, now that overtime is pretty much frozen, so I'm glad I was able to spend a little bit on myself one last time before I'm poor again.
