Drumming = <3

'Kay, so I attended jazz band for the first time in ages tonight (and was late-- because I was PRACTICING *glowers at Lampert*). Um...not so great, guys. Naturally, that Tim kid was fucking perfect on the drum set, and I thought our first piece was pretty good, but God Bless The Child needs some serious work. ...Though I will admit that it's very intimidating and I dun really want to play it. xD

My own drumming progress, however, has advanced considerably (I think). As soon as I got home, I asked my dad to help me out, and I've learned a new rhythm. :3 It's the most complex I've played yet, requiring the use of both arms and both feet and involving a nifty pick-up, which was cool. After practicing for a few hours and slowly adding one part on at a time, I was satisfied with how it sounded. I took the opportunity to familiarize myself with some of the different kits (it's an electric set, so you can do a lot with it), and found that I'm rather fond of a techno-esque setting. xD Birch is good for a classic sound, though. One-Man Band is cool, too, because the base drum makes the various sounds of a base guitar everytime it's hit.

By the way. I am thoroughly disappointed in my local high school for not having a marching band, and hope to talk with my parents about going somewhere that has one when the time comes around instead of our CRAP SCHOOL. Grr! I demand a marching band! ;___;

In other news, Shilts has finally let me borrow Chain of Memories, which I shall begin playing tonight. Also!! Sam's coming back for freshman year! I'm so excitied. :D He's gonna be so different.... I just hope he's still shorter than me. In fact, I hope he even remembers me at all; he moved to Arizona at the end of fourth grade, and visited briefly for fifth grade graduation. Geh~! Must find out more about this.

P.S. Send me Milk Duds and you will forever have the blessings of God. *wink wink*
P.P.S. MY INTERNET IS WORKING AGAIN. <333 Celebrate!
