First Coffee Shop Post Ever

I'm late for this party I know.  Still, I feel very fancy with my Netbook using the wireless network here at Cafe Mekka in Nevada City.  I type one handed, holding Ian on my lap as he bangs on the table trying to reach the keyboard.  Aren't computer keyboards for banging?

I'm hosting a parent meeting here but families must be busy because no one's here.  Which is just fine.  Ian and I like getting out and about.  The world's an entertaining place.  One day when he's big and in school I'll be here spinning story-webs.  But I won't rush him.

We're lucky with over-the-top California weather, setting records even for here with spring sunshine in the 70s.  It's surreal after all of the snow last month.  I'm sending some sunshine to all of the frozen places today.

As for the Big Idea book, Anika loves it.  I told her she said, "Can you get me one, Mommy?  I want one."  So one endorsement :).  I'm crafting a query and brainstorming content.  I don't need a new idea right now but this book . . . my daughter needs this book.  I gotta go for it.

Looks like Ian and I are the parent meeting.  Think we'll go to the baby boutique.  hurrah!
