this is... my take on how youngwoon must have felt just before going to the army. this is slightly before he knows that he'll be in the army in july. and speaking of which, it's been a month :] that's one month down, another 20 more months to go.
AND, to explain why there's so many oneshots on youngwoon before the army, well... i really miss him you know? i miss the cuddly warm teddy who's always watching over the members. :/

Title: Shatter
Pairing: #55 youngwoon (i miss you bb)
It was almost noon, when the sun will go high overhead, when Young Woon finally woke up with a splitting headache. It might be because of the headache, but for a moment, he almost couldn’t recognize this place that he was at. Then it finally dawned upon him - the dormitory.
Suddenly this place felt so foreign to him. He could feel it; the change in aura in the dorm.
Dragging himself up, he tried to find his way to their walk-in wardrobe once again in this foreign yet familiar place. Somehow or rather, he did make his way there, only to see that even the wardrobe now looks so foreign to him.
Sighing, he tried to find the spot where the other boys stashed his clothes in. He always had spare sets of clothes - both casual and formal - in the dorm just in case he ever stays over; but it’s been ages since he did so, and he wasn’t so sure if he knew this place anymore.
In fact if it wasn’t because Ryeowook made him go over last night, he highly doubted that he would even have stayed over. It was Ryeowook forcing him to come over and have dinner and Hyuk Jae forcing him to stay over that resulted in him being here now.
Giving up trying to find clothes to change into, Young Woon just dragged himself over to the bathroom. He was just going to wash up and leave the dorm and go back home and change. It was useless trying to find anything here when no one else was in the dorm.
And so you can say, Young Woon was pretty shocked opening the door to the bathroom and finding a clean set of his clothes waiting for him beside the sink. He was touched, very touched by this gesture.
Young Woon picked up the note that was placed on top of it, only to see that it was from magnae Kyuhyun.
”Hyung, I figured out you won’t be able to find your clothes in that messy wardrobe since Hyuk Jae hyung has given up trying to tidy it, so here you go. Breakfast is on the kitchen table, though knowing you, it’ll be lunch ^^ But finish it okay? My mother cooked it especially for you, I’ll be going home for a few days, so you won’t see me when you’re done with all these. Take care and remember to lock the dormitory when you leave ^^ Kyuhyun.”
Instinctively, Young Woon reached out to pick up the clothes beside the basin, only to hit a glass that wasn’t too far away. The glass shattered onto the ground with piercing cries in that silent house.
At that moment, Young Woon found himself in tears again. Recently, just recently, tears have become such a big part of his life that he sometimes wonders if he is still the Kim Young Woon that he knows.
Let it shatter, it’s good to let it shatter, Young Woon could hear Ryeowook’s voice in his head.
Let the shattering of the glass be a new start to your life, Young Woon hyung, Young Woon could hear Kyuhyun’s voice in his head.
The glass can shatter and take away all the misfortune, Young Woon could hear Hyuk Jae’s voice in his head.
We’ll always be here for you, unlike the glass, Young Woon could hear Jung Soo hyung’s voice in his head.
Our brotherhood will always be here, we'll always be brothers, Young Woon could hear Heechul hyung’s voice in his head.
And he just cried even more in that bathroom. Squatting down, looking at the shattered glass, Young Woon sobbed silently alone in that bathroom.
He knew, that he world shattered like the glass that night, but he knew, it could be pieced back.
If only he was willing to take the first step out.
