McDonalds iCon Chicken: German Sausage Burger
So everyone once in a while, McDonalds Japan comes out with some crazy stuff (testing the waters and all). This time, they've come up with 4 chicken burgers, dubbed the "iCon Chicken" burgers; there's german sausage, cheese fondue, diavolo, and carbonara.
Fortunately, the McDonalds near my university decided to start releasing burgers ahead of time (though within a limited time period). The first one they released from Oct 1 ~ Oct 7 was the German Sausage burger. Being the food connoisseur I am, I went with my friends to go try this new burger.
The burger costs 360 yen, with the set (fries + drink) going for 680 yen. Now the burger itself consists of the following: Bun, Melted Mozarella Cheese Slice, Breaded Chicken. German Sausage slice, Bun
The burger before consumption.
At first I was very put off by the strange coloured sausage slice, but the burger itself is actually not that bad. The sausage part is like salami without the kick, and the chicken was extremely tasty.
