It's not Halloween, not November, not any month that my West Coast mind, adjusted to Ontario as it may be, associates with winter.
And yet, it snowed last night. Not one of those first-snow-melted-by-morning snows either, oh no, there's still snow on the ground this evening.
Now add to that the winds (complete with fallen branches and hours without power) and this doesn't speak of a good winter trend..though hopefully the canal will freeze well this year.
I even had to wake up at 6 so I could make sure my roomie got up in time for work. She was asleep when the power went out and I doubted she would wake in time to realize her clock was off.
In al, interesting times.
