Well well well, It seemsI'm still alive.
I'm also at school to use the internet, as I don't have any hooked up at home yet. I do however have a stove as of yesterday, and a shower as of today. The people in the upstairs suite have been very nice about me spending all my time in their livingroom/kitchen/bathroom. *grins*
I made the mistake of spending my last night in BC with my Uncle's family in Vic. It was a good visit though.
Getting up at 4:30 a.m. to reach the airport in time (or, 2 hours early as that's the ultimately pointless timeframe they give you for checking in) was alright. I've gotten quite adept at sleeping in chairs surrounded by strangers.
Unfortunately, the uncle and his family had suffered through the flu over the weekend. So, a half hour beore boarding found me furiously chewing gravol and praying I'd stay well enugh to make it thorugh the pair of flights. I must have looked a sight curled up in a chair shaking.
I did, luckily, make it thorugh.
Ottawa was..far colder than expected, though in the city's defense I did only have last year to judge it by, and this is Canada.
Jeff picked me up at the airport, managed to fit all my bags and boxes into his car, and drove me home. It's a lovely house, and I was fortunate enough to have the only finished room in the basement suite. It even came with a wardrobe.
Yesterday I was lucky enough to recieve a bed and desk that apparently come with the room. Jeff's parents seem to have taken pity on me. A queen-size bed takes up nearly half of the room, but it goves me something to climb on should i need to gt out the window.
Internet and a microwave will comein the next few days as, hopefully, will all the needed appliances for the laundry room.
Other than that all that's left is school, to start tomorrow, unpacking and hopefully finidng an extremely part-time job.
And some decongestants.
Huzzah.
