I was playing on the computer earlier and Tristan was trying to sit on my lap so he could play, but he knows that he and Timothy aren't allowed to play until 4. I had to give them that rule or else they'll be on it all day from when their mom dropped them off until she picks them up. So I told him that he's not allowed to play yet so if he thinks that I'll let him play then he's wrong so get off my lap. And then he looks at me with his big brown eyes and said, "I know but I love you." Man....it was cute and nice to hear him say that without me making him of asking him to. I know he just said that for the game but still. I still didn't let him play though. I just laughed and said "you liar." And again he had a big smile and said "I really love you." That 3 year old. My mom was nearby and laughed as well. I was having a good auntie moment. Then I took the kids to the library as I do every week and I like sitting there looking at them as they interact and play games and then look to see if I'm watching or paying attention to them. I remembered the first time I took them to the library and had them sit in front and I sat in the back for a bit then slipped out to find books for myself. They were a little shy, especially Timothy, and looked back at me every 5 seconds but then the room started getting crowded and a bunch of people were in front of me. Now, even though I take them to several libraries, they are more comfortable to jump in and sit in front and follow along. They still look for me but at least they are less shy. I should do take them out more but it's just too hot to go the park or anything outdoors. The library is good enough for me with the ac and they seem to like it as well.
