Blog Hopping
It's been pouring rain all morning and afternoon here and I've spent the day inside drinking tea & blog hopping on the internet -- following link to link for no particular reason & finally I decided on posting some of my favorite new blog discoveries here.
Little Thoughts is run by Yulanda from Toronto. Her photography is simple, clean, and beautiful and her recent post about food eaten while traveling in Hong Kong is totally making my mouth water.
I also love the simple, clean look found in photos on Monaka's photography blog, Oh, the Light Today!

Hello Sandwich has a smattering of all different topics & I love the blog's name. (I am a huge fan of sandwiches!)
The visual layout of Little Miss Twig is so unique & totally different from what I've come to expect from blogs.
Three Buttons combines some of my top interests (food, crafts, illustration) into a sublime reading experience.
& as much as I love looking at pictures of delicious sandwiches and cute embroidery projects, I'm also a big fan of reading cultural criticism & have been thinking hard over some of the recent posts at Deeply Problematic. A recent post on feminism & privilege really has the wheels in my brain turning ("Feeling my privilege acutely for the first time is a bit like feminist puberty. As when I grew hips, all of a sudden, I realize that I have these adult responsibilities. I am no longer a preadolescent feminist, who can rant against the patriarchy and be righteous and oppressed without recognizing that I'm complicit too.")
& how about you, lemonettes? What do you like to do when you're stranded on a rainy day? What are your favorite blogs?
